Can we live in peace together?

I say yes we can! I think this is what most people want. Yes most people want this but how many are willing to put in the time and effort that this may take to get there. I do believe it is a large task and it will take each and every one of us but I do believe it is possible.

I hear you over there. Some of you are saying this can’t be done. Some of you are saying we can’t fix everyone and everything out there and some even say this won’t happen in a hundred years but I am here to tell you that it can and it surely will happen.

This isn’t about fixing others or other things in the world. I believe the place to begin is right in front of you. As you look within yourself and begin working on your own self growth areas others will follow. Also, when we begin helping and nurturing others as well as our selves we all grow and others will follow.

Yes others will follow. Many don’t know where to begin and as they see you change for the better and you share what you are doing to improve life, they will begin making changes for themselves as well. As you grow so does everything and everyone around you.

We must love ourselves first and as we begin to find the peace within ourselves we then can share that with all others.

Are you on a path of self growth? How has this helped you and in turn how has this helped others? What differences do you see in your life? Also what differences do you see in others around you?

Please feel free to share your comments. Together we can grow.

Everyone has the opportunity to make positive changes in their lives and impact others for good as well. I think that social media has made it seem like the world is quickly going downhill and that there is more bad than good, but I think that there is more good than we hear about.

Great post! Every day I get up hoping the world is a more loving and peaceful place than the day before. Unfortunately, most days it seems to be the opposite.

Such a great post and so relevant after yesterday’s events in Florida. I am a firm believer that to love and love fully you must love yourself first. Such a great message here!

Setting an example will encourage others to follow! Great advice.

So true. You must love yourself before you can give sincerely to others!

Amen! I also believe in a “live and let live” way of life as well as just following the golden rule – do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It’s about love. Love your neighbor. Love your enemies. Love the unlovable. Understanding, acceptance, and a willingness to help can mean so much for peace!

Such important words! When I’m peaceful with myself I can reflect it to others. Yesterday I was at the grocery store and the woman in front of my had some issues with her order and she needed to run back into the aisles and get something, then the cashier was working on an override…it took a long time. I was just peacefully standing there, the woman was fretting and fretting about taking up too much of my time. I just smiled and said, “Don’t worry about it, I’m standing inside where it’s warm and not raining, I don’t have anywhere I need to be, it’s just fine.” I could see her visibly calm down and relax, so it was nice to pass that on.
