Do you have a morning ritual? Developing good habits is important in our lives. Unfortunately, many of us tend to fly around by the seat of our pants half the time. When living this way, it can create stress in our lives and sometimes others around us. It can really knock our energy out of whack or at least it does mine.

How many times do you start out on track and somehow life gets you off of it? Well you are not alone. This happens to many of us. The key is to realize when you are off track and turn it around. You just have to jump back on. A good way to begin is with creating and following a morning ritual. It can be whatever you want it to be as long as it gets you off on the right foot every morning.

My morning ritual is here:

  • 4:00-4:30am – Wake up and hop in the shower
  • 4:30-5:00am – Meditate
  • 5:00-5:15am – Reflection time in my journal and stretching
  • 5:15-6:00am – Get ready to work (brush teeth, do hair and makeup)
  • 6:00am-6:30am – Eat something and have a cup of tea or coffee
  • 7:00am – Begin Work

*I don’t look at my phone until I begin working

This is an example of my weekday mornings. I say weekday because this is when I typically do my work.

You can create your morning ritual with whatever helps you begin your day on the right track. If you have kids, you may want to get up earlier than them to begin your day on the right foot and while it is quiet. Find the things that help you begin balanced and stress free.

My next post will be on how to create your morning routine and a few ideas for you to incorporate into your day and how to make this a habit.

I must say I do struggle with this and I am trying to find a balance. I consider myself a night person, and that somewhat worked for me before having kids. Now I am trying to readjust because no matter how late I go to bed, the kiddos wake up super early and that throws me off most days. Thanks for sharing your routine, I think I can use that as a guideline for myself.

It is a challenge for sure. The key is making a space for you. This will make caring for others more peaceful.

My morning routine is pretty similar. I try to get up as early as I can and get work done before the kiddos wake up. But I have to take my time, stretch, get my coffee and then get to work!

My morning routine is vital for my day going smoothly. I even follow it on the weekends.

My morning ritual looks pretty similar except I wake up 2-3 hours late lol! You wake up so early! Glad you found something that works for you though! I love how you mentioned that you don’t touch your phone until way later in the morning. I think that it is such a crucial step for getting your day on track!
